DEPARTMENT: Supply Chain

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

DOMESTIC

• Establishes department objectives, and business procedures.
• Development and maintenance of positive, productive, proactive relationships with a wide variety of suppliers and operating company personnel.
• Purchasing, pricing and vendor sourcing to secure the highest quality of products at the most effective process to maintain our franchise partners cost factors, corporate profitability and targeted financial objectives.
• Manages bid process Draft Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP) to include research, qualification, supplier negotiations, and selection for Edible, Non-Edible and Perishable products.
• Evaluation of a selected material supply base, existing and potential, to secure most competitive total products,
• Manage supplier relationships and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to evaluate and report performance.
• Negotiate, contract, and implement preferred supplier agreements.
• Interfaces successfully with the company’s various business units, including Sr. Management, Marketing, Operations and R&D to insure timely project implementation.
• Resolve supplier and internal customer and franchisee issues to insure a successful implementation process.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall cost, service and quality.
• Other duties as directed or assigned.

INTERNATIONAL

• Lead supply chain efforts during due diligence process when evaluating potential countries to develop the  brand
• Select organizations in country to provide all the necessary information regarding the importation of products
• Site visit to potential country prior to the signing of an LOI to ensure franchisees have the infrastructure in place to manage the complexities of the supply chain
• Ensure all necessary documentation, including permits and licenses, have been applied for and have been granted prior to any shipments leaving the US
• In partnership with the master franchisee, build all initial orders on a line level basis, this includes both product and equipment orders
• Lead all interaction between international franchisees and their selected customs broker, in tandem with customs broker in the US
• Engage with master franchisee for all subsequent replenishment orders

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MBA preferred.
• 3-8 years of supply chain or purchasing experience.
• Experience working with 3^rd party distribution providers preferred.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have strong negotiation, supplier relation and sourcing skills along with strong organizational skills and analytical skills. QSR or multi-unit chain retail store experience desirable. Ability to multi-task and work independently is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications along with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external stakeholders
